The start of the cycle trip began on quiet roads. With the creation of a tunnel, the first 80km of the Manali - Leh highway which goes over Rohtang Pass remains largely unused. Here the continuous loud sounds of cars honking are replaced by ambient sounds of the nature and waterfall around.
